H.O.G. Europe Gallery
The note below comes from H.O.G South Africa and explains the new H.O.G. online facilities. All these sites can be directly accessed from the Links section.
Dear H.O.G. colleagues,
We have been working on extending the functions and usability of the H.O.G. Photo gallery site www.hogeuropegallery.com and we hope you like the end result, which is now live.
We have improved the function and look of the existing sections and added complete new sections:
Photo Gallery
This part of the site has now been made better looking and easier to use. The section is now interactive, so members can rate, and comment on, each others pictures. They can also quickly and easily submit pictures to be uploaded.
Ride Planner
The site now has a fully functioning worldwide Ride Planner section! Members can use this area to plan their routes and save them; they can also download them – and other routes on the site - to Sat Nav units, as well as uploading their favourite routes, complete with pictures, for other members to look at, comment on and download.
Video Gallery
This section now contains video clips from all the recent major H.O.G. and Harley events, including European Bike Week 2009. If you have video footage you would like to see on the site, please let me know.
Event Calendar
The site also includes a fully functioning, multi-language Event Calendar with pop-up windows to display all the latest information on all the forthcoming events in an easy-to-read format, complete with pictures and links.
Ride of the Week
Members can submit pictures of their bikes to the site and comment on, and rate other members pictures as well as sharing them via Twitter, You Tube and other social networking sites.
HOG E-Magazine
The site also contains archive of previous HOG E-magazines so members need never miss out on the information sent to them.
Please note that in line with the policy of giving H.O.G. members benefits that other Harley owners do not have access to, the site has two levels of access – anyone can view the pictures but to interact with the site – to comment on, upload and share pictures, or to plan and upload or download a Route Plan – members need to log in with their HOG number, thus ensuring only HOG members get the full benefit of the site.
Please take a good look at the new site, log in and upload some pictures or your favourite routes, and encourage your members and chapters to use it.
